Safe Jum`aa is an invitation to Muslim communities in Montgomery County to devote one Jum’aa during the month of October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, to the topic of domestic violence. The purposes of Safe Jum`aa are (1) to support domestic violence victims/survivors in mosques, (2) to educate imams and Muslim leaders about domestic abuse, and (3) to encourage Muslim communities to develop domestic violence services and programs to help prevent domestic violence.
