 Requirements:

A loving heart, a desire to help, some experience with ministry, and an openness to diversity.

The Montgomery County Family Justice Center (FJC) is seeking volunteers to serve as Pastoral Care providers for domestic violence survivors.  This new Center in Rockville provides wrap-around services for survivors in a single location, including legal advocacy, immigration assistance, sheriff and police services, counseling, and spiritual support.  Volunteers need to be recommended by their faith community.  The volunteer commitment includes free domestic violence and pastoral care training, a personal interview, a criminal background check, and 100 hours of service at the FJC over a 6-month period in half or whole day increments.  For more information on the Center, visit www.montgomerycountymd.gov/FJC.
